Levofloxacin Toxicity: Worse Than the Other Fluoroquinolone Drugs

Approximately three years ago I was a 30 year medical professional at the highest level lucrative successful and happy working seven days a week. I was an athlete around half marathons. I was a 60 year old going on 40. I came down with some urinary tract pain. my urinalysis would not show a specific bacteria. So they started one at a time given me different antibiotics that failed when I was given an Levaquin, after Dave for I woke up with terrific neuropathy in my feet and also my hands. They were perfect prior. I was an athlete I had zero health issues. Not only did I have neuropathy in my hands and my feet, I started having severe insomnia literal days and weeks without sleep. Causing further mental and physical health damage. Because I was so secure and had such a good standing in my profession, my company dared with me while I was trying to find the solution. But the mental health started going very badly. My concentration, my memory, my executive functioning skills were going out the door quickly. I then developed what they call anhidrosis where your body doesn’t sweat. Which is devastating physical condition especially when you’re an athlete. I explain to the doctor primary care that none of these things had occurred until after overnight day for a Levaquin. He passed it off and said I don’t think so . And then the mental effects were so bad because I had to leave my job I could not even come close to doing the high-level work that I did. I ended up getting hooked on benzos that the psychiatrist prescribed out of desperation so I could get some sleep. And then later they started giving me antipsychotic drugs, and anti-depressant drugs. Which I found later are completely out of wine. I had zero mental issues. Quite the opposite as successful as a person could be. Wonderful family life balanced fitness clean eater. I was 60 going on 40. I ran an 8/2 marathons when I was between 56 and 59. So now I have been essentially in bed for three years as I tiptoe around as I don’t want to rupture a tendon my tendons are all tight to the point of ridiculous. But between my mentation and this and then the visual problems, it started occurring terrible, visual problems I lost probably half of my vision. All of the sub specialties that my primary wants to send me to I can no longer afford as we have been hammered. Although we were well off for 3 1/2 years without a dime coming in insurances, eventually wear out. They put it in a nutshell. This is destroyed my life. My family life. My I have been ignored and passed off as someone who is crazy or difficult to deal with as no one will except what I’m telling them. It is simple as night and day. I had nothing wrong with me and then I had everything wrong with me and 3 1/2 years later I am still in this position where I’ll get no respect and no acknowledgment of what has happened. No one will blame any of this on Levaquin. There is absolutely no other possible cause in my mind as I was perfect before day for a Levaquin. I have been reading posts from people which I should’ve done longer ago, as at least I know I’m not the only one. But you are put on an island you were chastised you were actually criticized. Your family is lied to. They think that you’re lazy and you don’t want to do anything. They see that you can stand there only stumbling when you walk. They can see that you could do simple things here and there and extrapolate that you can do much more. That has not been the case I was a weight lifter And my muscles have wasted to the point where I am just mush. I was a Fitness freak, who would do three sets of 15 bar dips, pull ups, as well as everything else in the health club. I was running half marathons. I just became weaker and weaker. To the point where now I am just barely able to lift simple 10 pound objects just to get around the house and maybe throw out some trash or pick up some dog poop but that is my limitation it is horrendous. I sure would like to hear from somebody who can relate to me. Or if they have any ideas it’s already been well over three years my life has been destroyed. And I can’t people continue to tell me to seek physicians to help you. Well, I have that nothing but disrespect from the physicians for the most part. Especially allopathic physicians. I did get some response from holistic physicians, which put me on thousands of dollars a boatload of vitamins and supplements , which I found hard to keep up with as my swallowing was affected too, and I need these pills, her horse pills. And the diet they recommended was wild salmon, two times a day, and other multiple things. Who can afford that after not working for 3 1/2 years, even though I was doing very well And my job was very lucrative. 3 1/2 years of nothing will put you in the hole and I have medical bills up to the ceiling from all the CT scans and all the tests that I had run in the blood test. Everything always comes out negative. If there is any thing for me to do a ditch late stage to try to salvage any kind of life And anybody has any ideas please let me know.
